Sparkle

This remake of the 1976 motion picture produced by Whitney Houston and Bishop T. D. Jakes, stars American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks as Sparkle. A story of the power of music, the trials of success and the bonds of family, Sparkle pursues a career in music with her sisters, and faces the trial that come along with fame and success. Stars Whitney Houston, Derek Luke, Mike Epps, CeeLo Green, Omari Hardwick, Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo.

The original motion picture released in 1976 starred Irene Cara, Lonette McKee, Dwan Smith and Philip Michael Thomas. It was scored by R&B artist, Curtis Mayfield. Sparkle is the story of three singing sisters in Detroit who pursuing a career in the music industry and the struggles they face. This story was loosely based on Diana Ross and the Supremes. Before Dreamgirls, there was Sparkle.
