The builing is named for Dr. Felton Grandison Clark, the second president of Southern University and son of the school's first preisdent, Dr. Joseph Samuel Clark.

The center, also nicknamed The PMAC, is also known as "the house that Pete built".

LSU Tiger Stadium, also known as "Death Valley", is the home of LSU football. This stadium is the tenth largest in the NCAA, with a seating capacity of 92,400. The stadium's nickname, Death Valley, is a testament to fan support evidence by the noise they make during the game, thereby causing communication problems for the visiting team. Tiger Stadium has also been called "Deaf valley".
